Monthly Loves: November 2021

It is beyond me how we are already in December 2021. I seem to still be processing all of 2020, but here we are. Getting ready to close out another year...

In all honesty, I did not buy nearly as much stuff this November as I thought I would. However, I did buy a lot of great stuff, and the things I loved most in November were actually things I ended up buying as gifts for other people who I knew would love them also. So, consider this a mini gift guide in addition to a Monthly Loves post! 1. The Sleepy Tie. I have purchased a lot of things that claim to help keep my hair looking FRESH AF between blowouts (Drybar or DIY), because washing and blow drying my hair every day is not the life I want to live. The Sleepy Tie is definitely the best thing I have found for putting my hair up overnight to keep it looking great the next day. It took me a minute to figure out how to really work it, but YouTube and the tutorial on their site helped a lot!

2. Rechargeable Electric Lighter. I have always preferred matches to lighters, because I really hate single use plastic. I know a plastic lighter technically works for more than one use, but ultimately you have to toss it when it runs out. Of course there are refillable lighters, but I've never loved using those, especially since my main (really only) use of a lighter is to light candles. The shape of most lighters is also not the best for candles, whereas matches can really get into any candle vessel easily. Then I got this lighter... it is electric, rechargeable, and fits into any candle vessel with ease.

3. Glitter Plus-Plus Blocks. We are BIG fans of Plus-Plus blocks in this house. They're so fun and really entertain my kids for a long time. The grown-ups in this house have also been known to get down with some Plus-Plus building. When I saw this glitter set, I had to get it, and I am happy I did! I purchased an extra few sets for some gifts, and they were all very well received. Something kids can play with over and over for $15? Always a win.

4. Makeup Removing Cloths. I am obsessed with these. I technically bought them a WHILE ago, but I re-upped in November and purchased a bunch as gifts. They're so soft, do the same (if not better) job of any of the far more expensive makeup remover cloths, and are a great size. I use one daily, toss them in a mesh laundry bag, and wash them all together at the end of the week.

5. Flippy Tablet Holder. Another thing I purchased before but bought another in November as gifts. This is really the best thing on this entire list. If you only buy one thing, buy this. It's amazing. Ask anyone who has one. Get yourself or literally ANYONE a Flippy. Trust me.

I hope you all have an enjoyable and stress-free holiday season. It's been a long couple of years, y'all... I'm tired... I am sure you all are tired. So I will end this Monthly Loves post with this... Please be kind. Be kind to everyone you meet. Bad days, weeks, months, and years happen for everyone. You never ever know what anyone else is enduring or carrying with them. I have never met a person who isn't carrying something they wish they didn't have to carry. No one is perfect with this, myself certainly included, but if we all make the effort to choose kindness first every single day, the world will ultimately be a better place to live. It also takes very little effort to be kind, and yet it can make all the difference.
